We’ve just returned from a trip to the Philippines where we had a fun filled family holiday with our two kids, had the opportunity to present to 180 Australian small business owners and their simultaneous event of 60 Filipino outsourced staff (about a third had a Filipino staff member), and MOST importantly had some quality time with our team in Cebu. We even took Alexis with us. Our guru here at Lifestyle Tradie in Australia, to share the experience and meet our team first hand (skype is great, but there’s nothing better than face-to-face).

What was that you said? A trade business that has a team in the Philippines? Yes. It’s true. In fact we have an office that currently has 185 staff catering to small business owners to GET MORE DONE in less time. Not YOU busting your butt anymore. Your team. And they are GREAT!

That’s great, but what’s that got to do with me?
Everything. It’s trying to help you think differently.
This is about leveraging your time through employing a team. And not just anyone. The right key players that balance your needs. This will help so that you don’t have to do everything anymore. You can share the load.
Of course, you might need tradies to simply do the work. If so, hire them.
But if it’s the ‘office side’ – answering after hour phones, making sales calls, basic admin, managing your SEO – then perhaps a team in the Philippines could be your solution.
This is also about leveraging your money because it is far cheaper to employ staff in the Philippines than it is here on local ground. And the skill set is the same. Not to mention they are awesome people!
This is also about leveraging your time because once you have the right team members, and you’ve trained them well (using systems), and they understand your expectations, you can delegate to your hearts content alleviating you to work ONLY on the things that matter.
The thing is; it takes a solid, loyal and consistent team around you for an ordinary business to become an extraordinary business. It is for this reason it’s important you know how to hire right, keep them motivated and grow a strong business. Together.
And it all starts with you.
Being the leader you’ve always wanted to be.
Stop thinking that you can ‘do it all!’ alone and start thinking long term. You won’t be able to keep up the momentum you currently follow for too much longer. It’s simply too exhausting!
Instead of working harder, start working smarter and think about how you can leverage your time, money and people to get more done in a day without YOU having to bust your butt. It can be done.
